the art of PINK FLAMINGOs
Artist Caroline Zimmerman on visiting the pink flamingos in Southern France:
"I was fortunate enough to visit a bird sanctuary in the South of France this past March suggested by French artist, Marius Massot. The famous flamingos of the Camargue. The 'Flamant Rose' as they are called in French, are quite tame. I spent many hours early one morning observing their movements, their antics and in awe of their grace and beauty; it was truly like a waking dream. I hope to convey the serenity that these paintings gave to me over the weeks I spent with them in my studio." ~ Caroline Zimmermann
